About this position
Indiana University Indianapolis invites applications for the Director of the Master of Health Administration (MHA) Program in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health.
The director will guide a longstanding, CAHME-accredited MHA program that prepares current and future leaders for a changing healthcare environment. The program has operated for more than 55 years, has been continuously accredited since 1983, and offers a 42-credit curriculum in hybrid and fully online formats designed to serve working professionals and healthcare employers.
This leadership role combines program strategy, operations, curriculum development, competency assessment, accreditation, student recruitment and advising, professional development, and career outcomes. The director will work with faculty, staff, students, alumni, employers, healthcare organizations, professional associations, community partners, preceptors, mentors, and healthcare executives to strengthen experiential learning, program visibility, and alignment with the evolving healthcare management profession.
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, mentoring, scholarship, and service according to their faculty track and rank. The Department of Health Policy and Management advances education, research, and service focused on the organization, financing, management, and outcomes of health and healthcare. It also supports related programs in health administration, public health, and population health sciences, as well as the Center for Health Policy, a research hub for faculty research and dissemination.
The Fairbanks School of Public Health is located on the Indiana University Indianapolis campus in downtown Indianapolis, within a major academic health and life sciences environment and a strong regional healthcare sector.
