About this position
Exciting opportunity for aspiring researchers in digital health to join our team!
Prof. Ksenia Gorbenko, PhD and I are excited to announce an open position for a fully-funded PhD student to join our collaborative project between the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) in Potsdam and Mount Sinai Health System in New York. The project is titled "Data Science and Social Science for In-Depth Evaluation of Remote Patient Monitoring Programs." A quick summary is below and a full posting is also attached here.
What is the project about? To date, virtually no research has linked Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) program enrollment data to detailed Electronic Health Record (EHR) data, nor have structured qualitative data been used to supplement outcomes, claims data, or EHR data on RPM. The planned project will evaluate RPM within the Mount Sinai Health System using detailed data from electronic health records, structured surveys, and semi-structured qualitative interviews.
The PhD student will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of the project, and will serve as an interdisciplinary team member and bridge between the quantitative and qualitative research teams, based in Potsdam and New York, respectively (including extended research stays in NYC).
We are evaluating applications on a rolling basis with interviews starting immediately and applications open through December 6th. Ideal start date: Q1 2025.
