About this position

A fully funded Master's-level research internship is available at the Laboratoire de Physique des Interfaces et des Couches Minces (LPICM), École Polytechnique, in Palaiseau, France, starting in February 2027 with flexible dates.

The project investigates the low-temperature plasma deposition of wide-bandgap semiconductors. The selected student will contribute to advanced materials characterization using THz spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, and SEM/TEM, while helping develop artificial-intelligence methods to optimize semiconductor growth processes.

This opportunity is suited to a motivated Master's student interested in materials science, physics, electrical engineering, semiconductor technology, plasma processing, characterization, and AI-assisted process optimization. To apply, consult the attached internship proposal and send a CV and cover letter to Dimitrios Stefas at [email protected].

Funding details

The internship is described as fully funded. No stipend amount or specific tuition, travel, housing, or insurance coverage is stated.

What's required

A motivated Master's student is sought for a research internship. Applicants should submit a CV and cover letter; relevant preparation in semiconductor materials, plasma deposition, materials characterization, spectroscopy, microscopy, electronics, or artificial intelligence is preferred or beneficial.

How to apply
