Fully funded PhD positions are open in Chemistry and Materials Science at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea, within the Institute for Multiscale Matter and Systems (IMMS). The project is part of an international research environment supported by the National Research Laboratory 2.0 program.

Research topics include defect-engineered metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), autonomous laboratories for reticular materials discovery, MOF glasses and complex heterostructures, and advanced X-ray and electron crystallography methods. The post is especially relevant for students interested in coordination chemistry, solid-state chemistry, crystallography, and broader materials characterization and reticular materials research.

The call particularly encourages female candidates of any origin with relevant academic preparation and strong motivation for cutting-edge research. Applicants should have a solid background in one or more of the following: coordination chemistry, solid-state chemistry, or crystallography. Strong English communication skills are required.
