Fully funded PhD opportunity at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - Goa Campus in the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab.

The project is titled Cognitive Rehabilitation Games for Young Kids and Adolescents with Autism and is funded by the Mohatta Foundation. The research focus is on designing playful digital tools and serious games that support children and adolescents with autism through improved emotion recognition, social interaction, eye contact, joint attention, emotional warmth, and self-care.

This opportunity is especially relevant for candidates interested in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, VR/AR, and interactive game development. Prior experience with Unity or Unreal Engine is desirable, along with familiarity with autism spectrum disorder and working with children/adolescents.

Eligible applicants should have a B.Tech, M.Tech, or M.Sc. background in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Cognitive Science, or Neuroscience. The post indicates that hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability.
