The University of Luxembourg, a modern and international research university, is offering a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship in Advanced Wireless Communications within the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). The SIGCOM group at SnT is seeking outstanding early-career postdoctoral researchers or PhD students nearing completion to apply for the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026, supervised by Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas and Prof. Eva Lagunas. Research interests should align with areas such as Beyond 5G Wireless Communication Systems, Non-Terrestrial Communication Systems, Intelligent Open Radio Access Networks, Dynamic Spectrum Sharing, Access-Edge-Cloud Telecom Network Slicing, Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces, Joint Communication and Sensing, Software Defined Networks, Network Virtualisation, Network Infrastructure Sharing, Routing Strategies, Network Performance Monitoring, ML/AI-Based Network Performance Prediction and Resource Provisioning, Quantum Communications, and Optical Communications. Key responsibilities include analyzing and investigating novel scenarios, developing innovative solutions, implementing and developing software/hardware testing environments, disseminating results through scientific publications and conferences, preparing new research proposals, and assisting in the supervision of PhD students.

Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent in Telecommunications or Computer Science, with proven research experience in relevant areas. Required expertise includes convex/non-convex optimization, signal processing, communications, and programming skills in MATLAB and/or Python. Strong English writing and oral presentation skills are essential. MSCA eligibility rules apply: maximum 8 years research experience post-PhD, mobility rule (must not have resided or carried out main activity in Luxembourg for more than 12 months in the 36 months before recruitment), only one proposal per individual, and secondments can take up to one-third of the fellowship duration.

The position is a fixed term contract for 24 months, full-time (40 hours/week), with a yearly gross salary of EUR 85176.
