À partir de la rentrée 2024, j'occuperai pour trois ans le poste de coordinatrice du pôle international de Chicago. Ce partenariat me permettra d'être accueillie pendant deux ans à l’Université de Chicago aux États-Unis, puis un an au sein de l’University of Chicago Center in Paris, l’antenne parisienne de l'Université de Chicago. Ma thèse en civilisation américaine, dirigée par Andrew Diamond et Romain Huret, s'intéresse aux mobilisations des femmes noires en faveur du droit à la protection sociale (welfare rights movement en anglais américain) dans trois villes du Midwest: Chicago, Milwaukee et Detroit. Ce contrat me permettra de mener mes recherches au plus près de mon terrain d'étude, tout en développant des liens de coopération internationale entre l'Université de Chicago et mes deux établissements de rattachement en France, Sorbonne Universités et l'EHESS - École des hautes études en sciences sociales. ???? I have the pleasure to announce that I have been selected for the fully-funded Ph.D. program of the Institut des Amériques.Starting in the fall of 2024, I will be the new coordinator of their international hub in Chicago. This partnership will allow me to spend two years at the University of Chicago in the United States, followed by one year at the University of Chicago Center in Paris.My Ph.D. dissertation in American History focuses on the mobilizations of Black women in support of welfare rights in three Midwestern cities: Chicago, Milwaukee, and Detroit. This position will enable me to conduct exstensive fieldwork while developing international cooperation links between the University of Chicago and my two affiliated institutions in France, Sorbonne University and the EHESS - School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences.
