About this position
Dublin City University (DCU) School of Psychology is offering a 2-year full-time MSc by Research studentship starting September 2026 as part of the international JPND/HRB-funded project ENSURED: Empowering Needs-based Social Health and inclusive care for RarEr Dementias in moderate to advanced stages.
This opportunity is ideal for a motivated graduate in Psychology or a related social science field who wants to contribute to research on lived-experience research, co-design with stakeholders, evidence synthesis, and the development and evaluation of psycho-education and training tools. The project focuses on rarer dementias, including frontotemporal dementia, Lewy body dementia, and vascular dementia, and aims to improve equitable, needs-based care across disease stages.

The role includes supporting the ENSURED project, stakeholder and public engagement, and open science activities. The post also involves an international evidence review of the needs of people with dementia, their supporters, and health and social care staff, plus analysis of how existing tools can be adapted for rarer dementias and more advanced stages.
