Harper Adams University is inviting strong candidates for the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026 in research areas linked to agricultural robotics, AI, computer vision, mechatronics, autonomous systems, remote sensing, multispectral/hyperspectral imaging, soft robotics, and SLAM.

The opportunity is being promoted by Prof. Fernando Auat Cheein, Professor of Engineering and Director of the Harper Institute of Technology at Harper Adams University. His research interests include AI and robotics for food systems, perception systems for field environments, crop monitoring, food security, and technology adoption in agriculture. Interdisciplinary proposals are especially welcome, including projects that connect technology with agriculture, food systems, livestock science, crop science, digital agriculture, or rural communities.

This is a postdoctoral fellowship call under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). Applicants must hold a PhD and have up to 8 years of research experience after the PhD. The call is open across scientific fields, but this post specifically seeks researchers aligned with robotics, AI, computer vision, mechatronics, and related areas. The fellowship is highly competitive and internationally recognised.

Funding information from the MSCA call indicates a €399.05 million budget and an expected funding of nearly 1,600 projects. European Fellowships can support research for up to 24 months, while Global Fellowships include time in a third country followed by a return period in Europe. An additional six-month placement in a non-academic organisation may also be possible.
