About this position
Multiple postdoctoral opportunities are available in Canada through industry-partnered cybersecurity projects at Concordia University and the University of Ottawa. The projects address the security of telecommunications, connected devices, and security operations, with opportunities to work on applied problems in collaboration with industry partners.
Project 1: Securing Telecommunication Networks
This project focuses on network security and cloud security, including agentic security solutions. Knowledge of 5G and 6G technologies is considered an asset. The work is planned to begin in Winter or Fall 2027.
Project 2: Securing IoT Networks
This project examines IoT and device security, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth security and sensor reliability. The work is planned to begin in Winter or Fall 2027.
Project 3: Automating Security Operations
This project focuses on automating cybersecurity operations through areas such as cyber defence, blue- or red-team methods, incident response, alert triage, and agentic security solutions. The work is planned to begin in Fall 2027.
The postdoctoral researchers will join a research environment spanning Concordia University and the University of Ottawa, under the supervision of Suryadipta Majumdar and project collaborators Lingyu Wang and Paria Shirani.
