Mycorrhizal symbiosis Université de Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV) in France

A fully funded 3-year PhD position is available at the Université de Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV, Amiens, France) within the EDYSAN research unit (UMR CNRS 7058). The research focuses on the adaptive ecology of mycorrhizal symbiosis, combining experimental ecology, high-throughput digital phenotyping, climate-controlled Ecotron experiments, amplicon metabarcoding, and bioinformatics. The project aims to investigate the functional and genomic traits of different mycorrhizal types that support plant adaptation. Supervision will be provided by Prof.

Marco Cosme and Prof. Guillaume Decocq. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity for short research visits to Hasselt University (Belgium) to participate in ecosystem-scale climate change experiments at the Ecotron facility.
