About this position
SR University in Warangal, Telangana, India, is seeking a highly motivated part-time postdoctoral fellow to join an experimental and computational materials science research group.
The research focuses on next-generation energy materials, including low-dimensional materials, topological insulators, halide perovskites, optoelectronics, spintronics, perovskite solar cells, photovoltaics, hydrogen energy, and catalysis. The successful candidate will use high-throughput density functional theory (DFT) calculations and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to study the electronic, optical, and structural properties of perovskite materials.
Additional work will involve modeling chemical reactions, surface mechanisms, and defect physics relevant to hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, and fuel-cell technologies, as well as preparing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. The flexible part-time arrangement is intended for researchers balancing academic work with other professional or personal commitments.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field, with strong expertise in computational modeling and first-principles computational packages. A strong high-impact publication record, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment are expected.
To apply, email an updated CV to [email protected] using the subject line “Application: Part-Time Postdoc – Experimental/Computational Materials Science.” Applications are reviewed immediately, and no fixed deadline is specified.
