About this position
We are seeking applicants for research projects targeting the pathology of pediatric obesity. Pediatric obesity is one of the most challenging health conditions of the 21st century. However, clinical practice still lacks effective early diagnostic tools and treatment modalities. Applications for MSc and PhD thesis positions are now open at the Research Department of Pediatric Obesity at the Department of Pediatrics, University of Debrecen for the 2024/2025 academic year. We are looking for applicants from pathology, internal medicine and molecular biology studies. Topics include histopathology of obesity - using biopsies and postmortem samples, gene expression regulation in the course of perinatal human adipocyte development, associations of human DNA polymorphisms with pediatric obesity.
