The University of Oslo is offering two exciting academic opportunities in the Department of Psychology (PSI) within the interdisciplinary NeuroPathways Convergence Environment. PhD Fellow – Gene–Environment Interplay & Neurodevelopment: This position investigates how genetic predispositions and environmental contexts interact to shape neurodevelopment. The research leverages large-scale longitudinal and family-based data, including genomic information, Norwegian population registers, and cohort studies. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team led by Dr Rosa Cheesman (primary supervisor), with co-supervisors Dr Nicolai Borgen and Prof Astrid Marie Jorde Sandsør, and core collaborators Profs Alexandra Havdahl, Krister W. Fjermestad, and Hedvig Nordeng. The project is ideal for candidates interested in behavior genetics, developmental psychology, and advanced data analysis.

Postdoctoral Fellow – Neuropsychosocial Pathways: This postdoctoral position explores how personal, social, geographic, and clinical factors influence neurodevelopmental diagnoses, service access, medication use, and long-term outcomes. The research utilizes Norwegian national registries, the Norwegian Mother, Father and Child Cohort Study (MoBa), and ongoing randomized controlled trials at Lovisenberg and Innlandet hospitals. Work package leads are Profs Alexandra Havdahl and Krister Fjermestad, with mentorship from Prof Astrid Sandsør and collaboration with Dr Rosa Cheesman, Dr Nicolai Borgen, and Prof Hedvig Nordeng. This role is suited for researchers with experience in registry-based research, cohort studies, or RCTs.
