TU Wien’s Autonomous Systems Lab is advertising 3 openings for PhD candidates and/or postdoctoral researchers in robotics and AI. The research themes are centered on embodiment-agnostic humanoid loco-manipulation policy learning, context-aware interaction skill learning for physical human-robot interaction, bridging generative AI and control-theoretic safety in robotics, and visuo-tactile control policy for dexterous human-like manipulation.

The lab, directed by Prof. Dongheui Lee, focuses on cognitive robot motor skill learning, human motion understanding, autonomous learning from observations, and cognitive robot control. The post highlights an interdisciplinary, internationally collaborative, and inclusive research environment with good facilities and resources at TU Wien in Vienna.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should have an MS or PhD in a relevant field such as robotics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science.
