PhD and Postdoctoral Opportunities in Geology: Numerical Modelling and Mineral Systems Paul Sabatier University in France

The research addresses lithosphere-scale processes, heat and fluid transfer, crustal deformation, sedimentary basin evolution, and the thermal evolution of the Aquitaine Basin and surrounding regions. Methods include thermo-mechanical modelling, surface process modelling, and 3D sedimentary basin modelling.

Supervision for the PhD includes Delphine Rouby (Géosciences Environnement Toulouse) and Ritske Huismans (University of Bergen), with collaboration from Eric Lasseur (BRGM) and Cécile Robin (Géosciences Rennes). The project is linked to a multidisciplinary research environment involving CNRS, IRD, Toulouse 3 University, CNES, and the Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées.
