About this position

PhD opportunity at the University of Luxembourg in criminal law, compliance, artificial intelligence, and law enforcement.

The doctoral researcher will work under the supervision of Professor Stanislaw Tosza in the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF). The proposed thesis theme explores the emerging role of AI in corporate compliance programmes designed to prevent and detect crime. Candidates may also suggest related topics within this broader research area.

This is a full-time doctoral researcher position on a fixed-term contract of 36 months, extendable to 48 months if required. The yearly gross salary is EUR 43,445 for full-time doctoral researchers at the University of Luxembourg.

Eligibility highlights include a Master’s degree in criminal law, cyberlaw, law and technology, compliance, EU law with a focus on digital governance, or another degree showing interest in these disciplines. Applicants must also demonstrate at least B2-level proficiency in the language of the thesis.
