About this position

PhD opportunity in theoretical physics at Université Grenoble Alpes / LPMMC Laboratory in Grenoble, France, within the QuanG2 doctoral programme (Horizon Europe COFUND).

Eligibility: applicants must have a Master’s degree or equivalent, must not already hold a PhD, and must satisfy the MSCA mobility rule. Required background includes theoretical physics, some scientific programming, and basic knowledge of condensed matter, cold-atom, and wave physics.

What's required

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent by the deadline and must not already hold a doctoral degree. They must satisfy the MSCA mobility rule: not have resided or carried out their main activity in France for more than 12 months during the 36 months before the deadline. Applicants must not be current employees of the host laboratory. Required skills include theoretical physics methods, some scientific programming experience, basics of condensed-matter, cold-atom, and wave physics, communication skills, and ability to work in a team.
