About this position

Open PhD position at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in collaboration with the Friedrich Schiller University Jena.

Working environment: The successful candidate will join the Biogeochemical Integration department and the Eco-Meteorology working group at MPI-BGC in Jena, with collaboration from Dr. Qiaoyun Xie at the University of Western Australia. The project offers access to world-class infrastructure, long-term field site data, interdisciplinary supervision, and a highly collaborative research environment.

Funding: Fully funded for 3 years through the Max Planck Research School, including benefits and travel grants for conferences and research stays worldwide.

Eligibility: Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field and have strong programming/data skills, quantitative analysis experience, and good English proficiency. The call is open to motivated and highly qualified students from all countries.
