PhD Openings in Microbial Dynamics, Antimicrobial Technologies, and Physics-Informed AI at IIT Delhi Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is advertising two PhD openings in a joint-supervision setup through the School of Interdisciplinary Research (SIRe).

The positions are in microbial dynamics, antimicrobial resistance, biomimetic antimicrobials, cold plasma interactions, antimicrobial peptide discovery, and physics-informed AI. One project is titled Multiscale Investigation of Cold Plasma Interactions with Bacterial Surfaces for Microbial Inactivation, and the other is Mechanism-Aware and Physics-Informed AI Framework for Antimicrobial Peptide Discovery.

The openings are associated with Garima Rani (Assistant Professor, IIT Delhi), with joint supervision through SIRe at IIT Delhi, including collaboration with a professor from the Department of Physics at IIT Delhi and a professor from the Department of Human Centred Design at IIIT-Delhi.

Applicants should have a background in biophysics, physics, bioengineering, microbiology, computational biology, or quantitative sciences. The post highlights interest in antimicrobial technologies, plasma-microbe interactions, AI-driven discovery, and multiscale modeling.
