About this position
Urgent recruitment for a PhD (36 months) or Postdoctoral (18 months) position in next-generation hybrid solid electrolytes for lithium batteries (NextHyBat) at SyMMES (CEA / CNRS / Université Grenoble Alpes), Grenoble, France.
The project is funded by the MaterIAlps LabEx and focuses on the links between chemistry, nanostructure, molecular dynamics, and ion transport in hybrid solid electrolytes. The selected candidate will work with Prof. Laurent Gonon and Dr. Hakima Mendil-Jakani, with collaboration across SyMMES, CERMAV, G2Elab, CEA-Liten, and neutron experiments at the ILL.
Research activities include synthesis of hybrid electrolytes, multiscale structural characterization (SAXS/SANS, AFM, SEM, TEM), ion transport studies, electrochemical testing in coin cells, and development of bio-based electrolytes using nanocellulose and recycling of the ionomer.
Eligibility highlights: PhD applicants should have an M2 or engineering degree in materials science, polymer science, physical chemistry, or electrochemistry. Postdoc applicants should hold a PhD in a related field and have relevant research experience.
How to apply: Email a CV, cover letter, and referees to [email protected] and [email protected]. PhD applicants should add Master's transcripts; postdoc applicants should add a summary of PhD research and relevant experience.
