About this position

Tu Delft is offering a PhD position in Electrical Engineering focused on battery-free IoT for 6G and satellite networks, with research centered on wireless communications, wireless sensing, terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks (TN/NTN), and sustainable connectivity. Collaboration is expected with universities, research institutes, satellite technology providers, and industrial partners across Europe.

This is a strong opportunity for candidates interested in future wireless infrastructures for global connectivity, especially where energy efficiency, reliability, and resilience are central challenges. Funding is provided through an EU-funded Horizon Europe SNS JU project (IoT-Zero). The PhD is a 4-year employment position under Dutch university conditions, with a gross monthly salary ranging from €3059 in the first year to €3881 in the fourth year, plus 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus. TU Delft also offers a PhD training programme, technical courses, professional development support, and relocation assistance.
