PhD Position in Infection Medicine, Proteomics, and Precision Medicine at Lund University Lund University in Sweden

Lund University, one of the world's top universities, is offering a full-time PhD position within the Infection Medicine Research Group at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Clinical Sciences, Lund. The group, led by Professor Johan Malmström, focuses on developing proteomics methods to advance precision medicine in sepsis. The research project integrates immunology and systems biology, aiming to identify new drug candidates, investigate immune cell metabolic processes, and stratify patient subgroups for data-driven precision medicine.

The group values a collaborative and supportive work environment. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in biomedicine or equivalent, with documented experience in quantitative and functional proteomics, cell culture, and data analysis using R and bioinformatics.

Additional merits include experience in pathway enrichment analyses, drug development, and proficiency in Swedish. The position is a four-year doctoral studentship with monthly salary and benefits, starting January 1, 2026.
