The CFD & Energy Research Group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University is urgently seeking a motivated PhD candidate for a project titled Physics-Informed AI and OpenFOAM Modelling for Therapeutic Particle Transport in Vascular Systems.
The research combines OpenFOAM, computational fluid dynamics, Lagrangian/DPM particle tracking, and AI/ML to study and optimize drug and nanoparticle transport and deposition in vascular systems. This is a strong fit for applicants interested in biomedical engineering, fluid mechanics, numerical simulation, and data-driven modelling.
Preferred background: experience with OpenFOAM and CFD, especially DPM/Lagrangian particle injection. Helpful additional skills include biomedical flows, C++/Python, AI/ML, and HPC.
