PhD opportunity at the University of Zurich in Strategic Communication within the Department of Communication and Media Research (IKMZ). The research group Strategic Communication & Media Management, led by Prof. Dr. Nadine Strauß, is recruiting a Doctoral Researcher / Research & Teaching Assistant (60%) for a fully funded doctoral position.

The position is designed for candidates interested in strategic communication, corporate communication, organizational communication, public relations, investor relations, and related topics such as management, strategy, public affairs, finance, sustainability, and artificial intelligence. The role combines research, teaching, and academic development in a strong international environment with excellent infrastructure and collaboration opportunities.

Funding: the post is a fully funded PhD position for 3 years, with a possible extension of 1-3 years. The successful candidate will conduct high-quality research, complete a dissertation, attend conferences, publish in journals, collaborate on existing and new projects, and teach one class per semester in BA programs.

Eligibility highlights include an excellent Master’s degree in Communication Science or a related field, strong interest in the research area, experience with quantitative and/or qualitative methods, and good command of R and/or Python. Strong English skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are required. Willingness to relocate to Zurich and travel internationally is also expected.
