The University of Eastern Finland is offering two fully funded Doctoral Researcher (PhD Student) positions in the field of Chemical Ecology and Plant Eco-Physiology at the Department of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Kuopio campus. What's required
Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Ecology, Forestry, Environmental Science, Entomology, or Plant Sciences, or an equivalent qualification that provides eligibility for postgraduate studies. A good command of written and spoken English is required. For Position 1, experience with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry or proton transfer reaction mass spectrometry, statistical analysis (SPSS or R), a driving license, willingness to work at height, and competence in Finnish are advantageous. For Position 2, experience with biogenic volatile organic compound analysis, insect olfactometry, and statistical analysis are advantageous.
