Post-Doctoral/Research Assistant Position in Molecular Mechanisms of Rare Neurological Diseases in Childhood Universitätskinderklinik Bochum in Germany

The Universitätskinderklinik Bochum, through its Centrum for Rare Diseases, is offering a Post-Doctoral/Research Assistant position (60-100%) focused on the molecular basis of rare neurological diseases in childhood. The research group investigates the mechanisms underlying inherited neurological disorders and explores innovative gene therapeutic approaches, including the use of lipid nanoparticles in cell culture models, brain slices, and animal models.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant research environment at the University Hospital Campus, with strong ties to the International Graduate School of Neuroscience Bochum. The position offers opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and the supervision of doctoral candidates. The contract is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension, and includes salary and social benefits in accordance with local guidelines.
