About this position
Postdoc in Computational Controversy Mapping and STS at DTU Management, Technical University of Denmark, in Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark.
This 21-month postdoctoral position sits at the intersection of Science and Technology Studies (STS), computational controversy mapping, public debate analysis, and digital methods. The project supports DTU’s 2026–2031 strategy by helping establish an Observatory for Technological Questions in Society. The selected researcher will work with the Science and Technology Studies section at DTU Lyngby Campus and collaborate with Anders Kristian Munk, Mathieu Jacomy, and the observatory project team.
The role focuses on building a theoretically grounded pipeline for continuous analysis of technological debates in Denmark, helping determine what can be automated and where human analysts are needed, and testing communication formats that make observatory insights useful for stakeholders inside and outside DTU.
Eligibility highlights: applicants must hold a PhD degree, or provide supervisor documentation that the PhD will be completed within 4 months of starting. Strong experience in STS controversy analysis and empirical case work is required; familiarity with computational/digital controversy mapping is an advantage.
Funding and terms: full-time postdoc for 21 months. Salary follows the Danish collective agreement, with possible supplements under DTU’s salary structure. No stipend amount is stated.
How to apply: submit the online application before 2026-11-15. Upload one PDF in English containing a cover letter, CV, academic diplomas (MSc/PhD), list of publications, and a supervisor support letter if you are still finishing your PhD.
