About this position

The University of Luxembourg is offering a postdoctoral research position in Regulatory Compliance & Requirement Engineering within the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). The successful candidate will join the SVV research group, led by Prof. Domenico Bianculli, and collaborate with Dr. Sallam Abualhaija and co-tutors from the European Investment Bank (EIB) group, as part of the STAREBEI program. The SVV group specializes in the development of reliable, safe, and secure software systems, focusing on both requirements quality assurance and regulatory compliance, as well as software testing and runtime verification. The postdoc will conduct research in predefined areas, implement prototype tools, manage and contribute to national and international research projects, prepare project deliverables, disseminate results through publications and presentations, guide students, and participate in proposal drafting for new projects. The role requires a PhD in Computer Science, Informatics, or Software Engineering (obtained within the last 36 months), with expertise in requirements engineering, natural language processing, text mining, information extraction, machine learning, and document intelligence. Additional background in financial or regulatory technologies, model-driven engineering, and proficiency in Python is expected. Experience with Microsoft's AI and Power Platforms and information extraction from financial contracts or legal documents is advantageous. Candidates must have excellent English communication skills and be able to work independently in a diverse, international team. The position is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, full-time, with a gross annual salary of EUR 85,176.
