About this position
Postdoc in Robot Learning for Manipulation at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science), Stockholm, Sweden.
This postdoctoral position focuses on robot learning for manipulation, with research on state-of-the-art Vision–Language–Action (VLA) models for tabletop, mobile, or dexterous manipulation. The project emphasizes leveraging whole-body motion and/or dexterous multi-fingered hands to improve perception and control so robots can solve complex, contact-rich tasks in dynamic environments.
Relevant research interests include robotics, machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, robot perception, navigation, grasping, tactile sensing, and learning-based manipulation in simulation and on real systems. Experience with whole-body control, humanoid or multi-DOF platforms, and learning-based dexterous or mobile manipulation is especially valued.
Eligibility and requirements: a doctoral degree (or equivalent foreign degree) by the time the employment decision is made; strong research expertise in machine learning/robotics; documented strong programming skills; an outstanding publication record; strong analytical and problem-solving ability; and very good English communication skills. Preferred: PhD obtained within the last three years, pedagogical ability, awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, and independence with strong collaboration skills.
