About this position

KTH Royal Institute of Technology invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in Systems Security, focusing on the intersection of AI and Security/Privacy. The successful candidate will join the Secure Systems Group (SSG) at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), working closely with Professors N. Asokan and Panagiotis Papadimitratos. SSG is renowned for designing, building, and analyzing trustworthy systems, with research spanning both offensive and defensive security, particularly in platform security and machine learning security/privacy.

This two-year, full-time postdoctoral position offers an excellent environment for early-career researchers to develop independence and leadership in academic research. The role includes leading research projects, contributing to the group’s agenda, and gaining experience in student supervision and mentoring. Eligibility and Requirements: Applicants must have a doctoral degree (or equivalent foreign degree) by the time of employment. Required qualifications include significant research expertise in systems security, especially at the interface of security/privacy and AI, as evidenced by top-tier publications. Proficiency in English, strong motivation, independence, and teamwork skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include a recent doctoral degree (within three years), teaching and supervision experience, industry research experience, prior work in hardware-assisted security, and awareness of diversity and gender equality issues.

Funding and Benefits: The position is fully funded with a monthly salary and includes attractive benefits and good working conditions at KTH. The appointment is for a maximum of two years.
