About this position
Radboud University is offering a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the Healthy Student Life (HSL) project, a longitudinal research initiative focused on student well-being and health behaviours. The project examines topics such as mental health, study-related factors, substance use, lifestyle, and other emerging themes relevant to university students and youth.
This role combines research coordination with the opportunity to develop your own scientific output. The postdoc will coordinate the seventh and eighth waves of data collection, including study design and preparation, participant recruitment, survey implementation, data management, ethics applications, survey programming, and archiving. The position is closely connected to the Behavioural Science Institute (BSI) and the theme of Empowering the Young, with interdisciplinary collaboration across project leaders, team members, and other researchers.
Alongside coordination duties, the successful candidate will conduct independent research using HSL data, carry out statistical analyses, develop research questions, and lead at least one publication in an international peer-reviewed journal. There are also opportunities to contribute to collaborative publications and to translate findings into factsheets and short reports for stakeholders, including university policymakers.
The project is especially relevant to researchers interested in student mental health, alcohol use, gambling, prevention, and evidence-based policy. As the study develops, there may also be possibilities to broaden the research population to students in other forms of education. The appointment is for three years, and some teaching duties may be included, up to 20% of the total appointment.
This is a strong opportunity for a postdoctoral researcher seeking experience in longitudinal data collection, youth and student well-being research, and collaborative, policy-relevant scholarship at a leading Dutch university.
Application deadline: 2026-11-15. Apply via: the AcademicTransfer link in the posting.
