About this position
Group COR (Cardiac Oriented Research) at the ITACA Institute of the Universitat Politècnica de València is expanding its team through participation in a European project on atrial fibrillation (AF).
The project investigates sex and gender differences in atrial fibrillation by combining image processing with non-invasive cardiac mapping, particularly electrocardiographic imaging (ECGI). The research connects computational biomedical methods with real clinical problems in cardiac health.
Two research profiles are available: a Postdoctoral Researcher and a Predoctoral Researcher or Research Technician. The postdoctoral role is aimed at researchers with recent doctoral training and experience in image processing and ECGI. The predoctoral or technician role is suitable for graduates from biomedical engineering, telecommunications, computer science, physics, or related disciplines who are interested in biomedical signals and image-processing methods. The predoctoral route provides an opportunity to pursue a PhD within the project.
The research environment includes an international and multidisciplinary team, direct industry interaction through collaboration with Corify Care, and joint work with hospitals and leading European research groups.
