About this position
Cornell University’s Laboratory for Accelerator-based Sciences and Education (CLASSE) is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to join its high energy theory group. The group works across a wide range of topics in modern theoretical physics, including electroweak symmetry breaking, collider physics, flavor physics, particle physics beyond the Standard Model, lattice gauge theory, quantum gravity, string theory, cosmology, quantum field theory, and quantum information.
The postdoctoral researcher will pursue an independent project focused primarily on quantum gravity, with particular attention to the quantum aspects of black holes and cosmology, alongside related questions in quantum field theory and string theory. The role is embedded in Cornell’s active theory environment, where the successful candidate will collaborate with faculty and other members of the high energy theory group.
Faculty associated with the group include Yiming Chen, Csaba Csaki, Paul Ginsparg, Yuval Grossman, André LeClair, Peter Lepage, Liam McAllister, and Maxim Perelstein. Applications aligned with the research areas of the theory faculty are welcomed, and the position offers the opportunity to contribute to a broad and interactive research community within CLASSE.
