About this position
The Rajagopalan Lab at Virginia Tech is seeking a postdoctoral associate to join research in the Department of Chemical Engineering in Blacksburg, Virginia. The appointment centers on engineering biomaterials-driven approaches for building complex 3D tissues and organoids, with a strong emphasis on assembling engineered tissue systems using iPSC stem-cell-based methodologies.
The role is research-intensive and combines experimental design, biomaterials development, and tissue engineering practice. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and assembly of 3D tissues and organoids, while also handling data management and the dissemination of scientific results. The project is positioned within an environment that encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration, including opportunities to work with AI/ML researchers and biologists through the NSF COMPASS center.
This postdoctoral research sits within a major land-grant university with broad research activity and a transdisciplinary culture. The advert highlights a setting that supports collaboration across engineering, biology, and computational research, making this a strong fit for a researcher interested in biomaterials, organoid systems, and collaborative translational science.
