About this position
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is recruiting two Postdoctoral Associates for the Feng Laboratory in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Rutgers Cancer Institute, part of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
The Feng Lab investigates the development and progression of cancer, with particular emphasis on cancer metastasis, metabolic reprogramming, and the tumor microenvironment. Research projects examine the regulation and function of the tumor suppressor p53 and its gain-of-function mutants in cancer, as well as the roles of tumor suppressors—including p53 target genes—in the tumor microenvironment and tumor immunology.
The postdoctoral researcher will conduct independent laboratory research under the direction of the principal investigator. Activities include experimental and bioinformatics studies, preparation of research reports and grant proposals, and oral presentation of scientific findings. The position offers experience in a collaborative cancer research environment focused on understanding tumor biology and advancing cancer-related discovery.
The appointment is a full-time, fully on-site laboratory role within the Rutgers Cancer Institute. The work involves standard laboratory activities and may include exposure to biological materials, antineoplastic drugs, infectious or communicable diseases, and hazardous chemicals.
