Rutgers University-New Brunswick is recruiting two external Postdoctoral Associates for a year-long residential fellowship in the Center for Cultural Analysis (CCA) for academic year 2027-28.

The seminar theme is Nostalgia, approached from an interdisciplinary perspective. Relevant research areas include psychology of memory, social memory, cognitive science, neurology, cultural preservation studies, literature, environmental studies, and rhetoric and propaganda studies.

Applicants from any relevant discipline may apply, but they must complete all requirements for the PhD or other terminal degree in the relevant field by August 1, 2027. A record of publication and scholarly engagement related to the seminar topic is required. Fellows are expected to attend a bi-monthly research seminar, present their own work, organize a symposium, and normally teach one undergraduate course during the fellowship year.
