About this position
The Physics Education Research group at Rochester Institute of Technology is seeking a postdoctoral associate to support an NSF-funded Quantum Leap Challenge Institute, “The Physics and Engineering of Practical Quantum Error Correction (PRACTIQAL)”.
The position centers on quantum education and education research in quantum information science and engineering (QISE). Working with Assistant Professor Ben Zwickl, the postdoctoral associate will help coordinate programmatic activities, develop curricula, and contribute to research that advances educational resources related to quantum error correction.
The project emphasizes making quantum error correction learning materials more accessible, highlighting the positive societal impacts of quantum technology, and supporting the education and training goals of the QLCI center. The role is collaborative and cross-functional, involving coordination with members across the center and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
The postdoctoral associate will also contribute to broader research activities, including study design, data collection and analysis, reporting and publication, and may assist with grant writing, teaching, mentoring, and research lab support. The appointment is based at RIT in a hybrid work setting.
