About this position
Postdoctoral Fellow: DNA Replication Stress in Cancer
The Zou Laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology at Duke University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time postdoctoral fellow to investigate how DNA replication stress arises and functions in cancer cells. The project will examine the molecular mechanisms that drive replication stress and use those insights to support the development of new cancer therapies.
The fellow will design and conduct experiments addressing key questions in the project, collect and interpret data, and communicate findings through presentations and manuscripts. The role also involves collaboration with researchers in the Zou Laboratory and supervision of graduate students, undergraduate students, or technicians when needed.
The laboratory provides an interdisciplinary research environment focused on cutting-edge approaches, conceptual and technical training, grant writing, and scientific presentations. The fellow will work within Duke’s Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology and benefit from collaboration with laboratories at Duke and internationally, as well as the broader research environment of Duke Health in Durham, North Carolina.
