About this position
Cleveland Clinic Research invites applications for two full-time Postdoctoral Fellow positions in Dr. Shu Feng’s laboratory at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Cleveland, Ohio, United States.
The laboratory studies the molecular actions of antiviral metabolic enzymes and protein phosphoribosylation in viral infection, host defense, and aging-associated neurodegeneration. Active projects include the antiviral mechanisms of phosphoribosylases during human herpesvirus infection and the biological functions of phosphoribosylases in infection-associated neurodegeneration, including Alzheimer’s disease.
Research themes include herpesvirology, protein phosphoribosylation, metabolic enzymes, infectious disease, molecular biology, Alzheimer’s disease, and aging and neurodegeneration. Fellows will design independent projects, conduct and optimize experiments, analyze and interpret data, and contribute to manuscripts and grant preparation within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Applicants must hold a PhD or MD/PhD in a relevant area. An MD with relevant laboratory experience may substitute. Previous research or academic experience, including graduate student experience, and scientific writing experience are required. English proficiency documentation is required for candidates arriving on J-1, J-2, or F1 + OPT visa status. Submit a CV and contacts for three references.
