About this position
Postdoctoral Fellow in Implementation Science and HIV Prevention at McGill University.
The McGill RISE³ Implementation Science Lab, led by Guillaume Fontaine, is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to join the PrEP Implementation Platform Canada. This is a pan-Canadian implementation research opportunity focused on the equitable implementation of novel long-acting PrEP modalities, including cabotegravir and lenacapavir, among populations underserved by current HIV prevention models.
The role is linked to the CIHR Pan-Canadian Network for HIV and STBBI Clinical Trials Research and involves collaboration with investigators including Dr. Marina B. Klein, as well as clinical, public health, community, and policy partners across Canada. The work spans Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, British Columbia, and other participating provinces.
Research activities include process mapping, mixed-methods formative research, stakeholder and community engagement, implementation strategy development, and evaluation of complex HIV/STBBI interventions. The position is well suited to candidates with backgrounds in health services research, public health, epidemiology, nursing, medicine, psychology, social and behavioural sciences, or related fields.
Eligibility highlights: completed or near-completed PhD; strong interest or experience in implementation science, HIV/STBBI research, or community-engaged research; qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods training; strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment.
Funding: full-time postdoc, 1-year term renewable, starting July 2026, with a salary of approximately $70,000 CAD annually plus benefits. The posting also mentions professional development funds, authorship/mentorship, and exposure to a national multi-site network.
How to apply: submit a CV, cover letter, and three references through the McGill Workday portal. Review begins in early May and continues until the position is filled.
