About this position
Postdoctoral Fellow in Lung Immunology at the Allen Lab, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, United States.
The Allen Lab is recruiting a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to investigate how the lung parenchyma shapes immune responses across the lifespan. The research focuses on aging, tissue-resident stromal cells, stromal–immune circuits, inflammatory T-cell responses, tissue homeostasis, and susceptibility to inflammatory disease.
The successful researcher will lead projects using in vivo mouse models, genetic perturbation, immune–stromal co-culture, functional assays, flow cytometry, single-cell genomics, and spatial genomics. The position offers an opportunity to study how prior exposures and host factors reshape immune function in the aging lung.
Applicants must hold a doctorate in biomedical sciences, immunology, or a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are required. Experience with mouse models is strongly preferred; training in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, flow cytometry, computational methods, or high-dimensional datasets is advantageous.
This is a full-time, fixed-term academic postdoctoral position with a base salary of $62,400–$93,600. The closing date is December 31, 2026. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter and CV to Dr. Nancy Allen at [email protected] or apply through the listed Nature Careers portal.
