About this position
Postdoctoral Fellow in Time-Resolved and Room-Temperature Crystallography
The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland is hiring a postdoctoral researcher in structural biology and X-ray crystallography. The project aims to make time-resolved and room-temperature crystallography routine, moving beyond static protein structures measured at cryogenic temperatures.
The postdoctoral fellow will conduct mixing and microsecond pump–probe experiments at the new PXI-VESPA endstation at the SLS 2.0 facility, using the JUNGFRAU detector. The experiments will be applied to capture enzymes in action and investigate protein dynamics under near-physiological conditions.
Applicants should hold a PhD and have hands-on experience in macromolecular X-ray crystallography. Experience with serial crystallography or time-resolved crystallography is particularly desirable. The application deadline is 10 January 2027.
