About this position
Postdoctoral Fellow position in cancer immunotherapies at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, United States.
This collaborative project is led by the Laboratory for Cancer Immunology (Dr. Chozha Rathinam) and the Viral Engineering & Translational Laboratory (Dr. Bolni Nagalo). The research focuses on cancer immunology, dendritic cell biology, oncolytic virotherapy, tumor–immune interactions, and translational immunotherapy, with a strong emphasis on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
Projects include tumor-pulsed dendritic cell vaccines, combination immunotherapy for pancreatic cancer, antigen presentation, T-cell priming, tumor microenvironment studies, immune suppression, and viral modulation of antitumor immunity. The role is ideal for candidates interested in interdisciplinary work spanning immunology, virology, molecular/cellular biology, and translational cancer research.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field, preferably earned within the past three years. Strong publication record, communication skills, independence, teamwork, and motivation for hypothesis-driven research are expected. Experience with flow cytometry, dendritic cell biology, antigen presentation, virology, immune cell isolation, mouse models, and molecular biology methods is highly relevant; bioinformatics, single-cell, or spatial biology experience is a plus.
The position is full time and fixed term, with a listed salary of 65,000. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. To apply, email a cover letter, CV, and three references to Dr. Chozha Rathinam at [email protected].
