About this position
The Yarrow Lab is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow in spinal cord injury (SCI) and aging research. The fellow will contribute to the upcoming multisite TRT-SCI clinical trial and other VA- and DoD-funded studies focused on SCI.
The fellowship is based through the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System and the Eastern Colorado Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center (GRECC), within the Advanced Fellowship in Aging program. Research may be conducted at the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System or the University of Colorado–Anschutz, while applicable clinical activities will take place at the VA.
The research environment combines clinical and preclinical SCI research with aging, rehabilitation, Veteran health, and translational musculoskeletal research. The fellow will have access to the VA system’s extensive SCI care network and opportunities to collaborate with University of Colorado–Anschutz researchers and federally funded SCI investigators across the Denver area.
Joshua Yarrow, Director of the Eastern Colorado GRECC, will provide mentorship and individualized career development in SCI- and aging-related, Veteran-centric research. The program also includes structured training in research methods, geriatrics and gerontology, leadership, medical education, and quality improvement.
