Postdoctoral Position in Human Rights, Digital and Green Transition at Lund University Lund University in Sweden

Lund University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in human rights, with a focus on the digital and green transition. The position is based at the Division of Human Rights Studies, Department of History, and is linked to interdisciplinary research projects on digital exclusion and climate justice. The successful candidate will join the Human Rights Profile Area and contribute to research exploring how human rights can address challenges arising from digitisation and the green transition, including issues of equality, dignity, and power in a changing society.

The research environment is highly interdisciplinary, involving collaboration with the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences and the Division of Digital Cultures. The postdoc will conduct theoretical and/or empirical studies to examine new threats to human rights in the context of societal transformation, with a particular emphasis on the lived experiences of affected individuals and marginalized groups. The position is funded by the project 'Human Rights for a Politically and Culturally Sustainable World,' supported by the LMK Foundation.

Key research areas include human rights, digital transition, green transition, climate justice, digitisation, socioeconomic inequality, and sustainability. The postdoc will also participate in teaching and supervision, amounting to 20% of the working time, and will receive pedagogical training. The appointment is for three years, full-time, and offers a monthly salary, government employee benefits, generous holidays, and a favourable occupational pension.
