About this position
The Free University of Bozen - Bolzano invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Manufacturing Technology and Systems under the supervision of Professor Erwin Rauch. This opportunity is part of the project 'Manufacturing Innovation Management for SME Considering Ambidexterity with Integration of Virtual and Remote Innovation- and Learning-Factories (MIM)' and the 'Latin American Learning Factory Network for Smart and Sustainable Engineering Education (AMARU 5.0)'.
The research activity centers on designing learning and innovation processes for manufacturing innovation management in makerspaces and learning factories. The successful candidate will elaborate the organizational structure of virtual and remote learning and innovation spaces for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), define technical requirements and specifications for sustainable and energy efficient manufacturing, and integrate project management and SCRUM methodologies into the manufacturing innovation management process.
This position offers the chance to contribute to the development of smart and sustainable engineering education, with a focus on ambidexterity and the integration of advanced learning environments. The role is based at the Free University of Bozen - Bolzano, Italy, and is ideal for candidates with a strong background in mechanical engineering, materials science, or industrial engineering.
Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field and demonstrate experience in manufacturing innovation management, makerspaces, learning factories, and project management.
