About this position
KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm is seeking up to three postdoctoral researchers to join the TECoSA (The Vinnova Center for Trustworthy Edge Computing Systems and Applications). TECoSA is a long-term research initiative focused on advancing trustworthy edge computing systems, with strong collaboration between academia and 14 industrial partners. The center's research is organized into three prioritized tracks: Trustworthiness Assurance (including certification for cyber-physical systems, trustworthiness metrics, system architectures, assurance frameworks, verification and validation, explainability of AI, and risk management), Edge AI (integration of AI and edge computing for network optimization, distributed decision-making, and robust ecosystem development), and Industrial Edge Applications (networked robotics, human-in-the-loop systems, connected transportation, and experimentation with 5G/6G edge computing testbeds). Postdocs will conduct research in one track while collaborating across all three, and may supervise master students in partnership with industry.
The position offers a dynamic, international environment at a leading technical university, with guidance for relocation and access to TECoSA's resources and industrial network. Applicants must have a doctoral degree (or equivalent foreign degree) by the employment decision date, with expertise in at least one research track, collaborative and independent research abilities, and awareness of diversity and gender equality. Preferred candidates will have a recent doctoral degree (within three years), experience with edge computing systems, and project leadership skills. The appointment is full-time for up to two years, with a monthly salary.
Applications must include a CV, diplomas and grades (with translations if necessary), a brief research statement, and a proposal for future research activities. The deadline for applications is November 14, 2025. For further information, contact Dr.
Jana Tumova ([email protected]) or Professor Martin Törngren ([email protected]).
