Postdoctoral Research Associate
About the Opportunity
Performs basic or applied research of varying scope and complexity. Assists in the planning, interpretation, and publication of research results and grants. Ensures the laboratory is maintained and may exercise functional supervision over supporting research staff. May be responsible for purchasing and budget administration. May present research. The appointment generally does not extend beyond two years.
Will have a key role in establishing a new robotics research effort in human-centered robotics, including selecting appropriate robotic platforms for purchase, building out lab infrastructure, formulating specific research thrusts, and initiating research in robot planning, control, and sensing.
Qualifications:

• Demonstrates the ability to plan and execute research.
  
• Excellent verbal, and written communication skills, attention to details, as well as training in research methodology and quantitative data analysis.
  
• Knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired through the completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent.
  
• Expertise in robotics, in at least one of robot control, motion planning, integrated sensor-based control, dealing with uncertainty in robotic systems, or human-robot interaction.

Expected Hiring Range:
$59,425.00 - $83,935.00
