Imperial College London’s Dyson School of Design Engineering is seeking a Research Associate to join the team working on lithium-ion battery modelling. This postdoctoral opportunity is part of The Faraday Institution’s Multi-Scale Modelling project, focusing on the development of advanced models for cathode degradation, electrolyte decomposition, and safety-critical processes in lithium-ion batteries. The successful candidate will contribute to the open-source PyBaMM Python-based battery modelling framework, advancing its predictive capabilities by implementing new physics and degradation sub-models.

The research group, led by Reader (Associate Professor) Billy Wu, is internationally recognized for its work in electrochemical engineering and energy storage. The position offers the chance to work at the forefront of battery research, collaborating with leading scientists and contributing to the future of energy storage technologies.
